Energy-return-on-energy-invested
The Energy come back on Energy invested with (ERoEI or EROI) of any energy gathering system could be a live of that system’s potency. The conception was originally derived in ecology and has been transferred to analyse human industrial society. In today’s energy combine, electricity power ± atomic energy have values > fifty. At the opposite finish of the size, star PV and biofuels have values <5.
It is assumed that ERoEI >5 to seven is needed for contemporary society to perform. This marks the sting of cyberspace Energy drop and it's clear that new inexperienced technologies designed to save lots of humanity from dioxide could kill humanity through energy starvation instead.
