Drug Abuse And Public Health Journals

 Drug abuse is defined as self-administration of a drug for non-medical reasons, which exists in large amount and periodicity that may impair the ability to function adequately and may result in social, physical, or emotional harm. Drug has been recognized as a major public health problem across the globe. With the multiple aspects of the drug abuse based on the magnitude and range of consequences, the types of substances have impact on the health care delivery system, which is a problem for great public health significance. Drug misuse tends to affect the individuals from the middle-age group not only results in adverse health consequences, but also affects the quality of life and family inter-dynamics. Public health aims to improve quality of life and health for well-being, by and controlling the preventive strategies for treatment of communicable and non-communicable diseases.
