Downs Syndrome Online Journals
Down syndrome is a genetic disorder. It is also called trisomy 21. It includes certain birth defects, learning problems, and countenance . A child with mongolism also may have heart defects and problems with vision and hearing. How severe or mild these problems are varies from child to child. Delayed development and behavioural problems are often reported in children with mongolism. Affected individuals' speech and language develop later and more slowly than in children without mongolism, and affected individuals' speech could also be harder to know. Behavioural issues can include attention problems, obsessive/compulsive behaviour, and stubbornness or tantrums. A small percentage of individuals with mongolism also are diagnosed with developmental conditions called autism spectrum disorders, which affect communication and social interaction.The top open access journals are peer reviewed scholarly Journal of Genetic Syndromes & Gene Therapy.
