Cystic fibrosis is an inherited life-threatening disorder that damages the lungs and digestive system and people with the condition tend to have a shorter-than-normal life span. It affects the cells that produce mucus, sweat and digestive juices. They then plug up tubes, ducts and passageways. Symptoms differ and can include repeated lung infections, cough, inability to gain weight and fatty stools. The journal is dedicated to promoting the research and treatment of cystic fibrosis. The journal publishes original scientific articles, editorials, short communications, image articles, case reports and other information relevant to cystic fibrosis.  Scholarly journals provide as forums for the introduction and presentation for analysis of new research, and the review of existing research. Content usually takes the form of articles presenting original research, review articles, and book reviews.
