Bone Journals

A bone may be a rigid organ that constitutes a part of the vertebrate skeleton in animals. Bones protect the internal organs of the body, which produce white and red blood cells, store minerals, provide support and structure for the body, and enable mobility. Bones are available a spread of shapes and sizes and have a posh internal and external structure. Though they seem to be light in weight yet hard and strong, and helps in performing multiple functions.

Bone tissue (osseous tissue) may be a hard tissue, a kind of dense animal tissue. It has a honeycomb-like matrix internally, which helps to offer the bone rigidity. Bone tissue is formed from differing types of bone cells. Osteoblasts and osteocytes are involved within the formation and mineralization of bone; osteoclasts are involved within the resorption of bone tissue. Modified (flattened) osteoblasts become the liner cells that form a protective layer on the bone surface. The mineralised matrix of bone tissue has an organic component of mainly collagen called ossein and an inorganic component of bone mineral made from various salts.
