Bioaugmentation Open Access Journals
Bioaugmentation is a procedure normally applied to improve the beginning up of a bioreactor, to quicken process proficiency, to ensure the current microbial network against antagonistic impacts, or to make up for natural or water driven over-burdening (Venkata Mohan et al., 2005). For expanding reason, indigenous or allochthonous wild-type or hereditarily altered living beings are utilized (Venkata Mohan et al., 2005). Bioaugmentation procedure was applied to working anaerobic reactor (delivering CH4) to metabolically move from methanogenesis to acidogenesis in order to create H2 as final result (Venkata Mohan et al., 2007c). Specifically enhanced AB (in immobilized structure) was utilized as the expanding inoculum. In the wake of enlarging, H2 creation rate improved essentially. This technique can be actualized to the current full-scale anaerobic reactors delivering CH4 so as to move towards H2 creation. This procedure is a viable strategy to improve the procedure proficiency in brief timeframe.
