Articles On Hypoglycemia

Hypoglycemia is also called as low blood sugar, and it is  a fall in blood sugar to levels below normal. This can result in a variety of symptoms along with  clumsiness, confusion ,trouble talking ,loss of consciousness, seizures or death. A feeling of hunger, sweating, shakiness and weakness can also be present. Symptoms consistently come on quickly. The most common cause of hypoglycemia is medications is used to treat diabetes mellitus like  as insulin and sulfonylureas. Risk is greater in diabetics which have eaten less than usual, exercised more than usual or drunk alcohol.  Other causes of hypoglycemia  which include kidney failure, certain tumors ,liver disease,  starvation, hypothyroidism, inborn error of metabolism, severe infections, reactive hypoglycemia and a number of drugs along with alcohol.
