A new technology Intensive Care Unit telemedicine (tele-ICU) enabled care delivered from off-site locations by intensivists.
Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Telemedicine ICU (tele-ICU) is technology-enabled treatment offered from off-site locations that was created to meet rising patient complexity and a shortage of intensivists. Although tele-ICU deployment is growing, it still only serves a tiny percentage of ICU patients. Remote provision of healthcare services, such as exams and consultations, over telecommunications infrastructure. Telemedicine is divided into three categories: teleconsultation, telementoring, and telemonitoring. This is one of the most well-known subsets of telemedicine.
