Surface-water Scholarly Peer-review Journal

Surface water is present on top of the Earth's surface such as rivers, creeks, and wetlands besides, this is  also be referred to as blue water. The vast majority is produced by precipitation from nearby areas. As the climate warms in the spring, snow melts and runs off towards nearby streams and rivers contributing a large portion of drinking water. Levels of surface water reduces as a result of evaporation caused when water moves ground ward to become ground-water. It is recorded by the Environmental Protection Agency that approximately 68 per cent of water provided to communities comes from surface water. For USGS water-use reports, surface water is considered as a freshwater when it contains less than 1,000 milligrams per litre (m/L) of dissolved solids.
