Stroke Scholarly Peer-review Journal
A Stroke or Brain Attack may be a medical emergency occurs when blood flow to brain stops or interrupted or severely reduced and brain cells are bereft of oxygen and nutrients and start to die. There are two sorts of stroke, ischaemic stroke (caused by a grume that blocks or plugs a vessel within the brain) and haemorrhagic stroke (caused by a vessel that breaks and bleeds into the brain). Ischaemic stroke occurs when an artery (blood vessel) carrying blood to the brain is blocked. The underlying condition for this sort of obstruction is that the development of fatty deposits or blood clots lining the vessel walls, narrowing the arteries within the neck or head. This condition is named Atherosclerosis.
