Sports Injury Rehabilitation Review Articles
Sports Injury Rehabilitation may be a multi-disciplinary approach to the prevention, evaluation, and treatment of injuries. The first step towards recovery is getting an accurate diagnosis from a licensed sports-injury specialist. Typically, the initial stage of treatment involves reducing pain and promoting healing. Once pain and swelling are reduced, progressive reconditioning treatment will begin. Exercises are going to be prescribed to focus on specific goals like mobility, flexibility training, coordination of balance and joint positioning. As progress is formed, the athlete and trainer can work together towards re-establishing strength. Musculoskeletal injuries are inevitable results of sport participation. Football has the very best incidence of catastrophic injuries, with gymnastics and hockey close behind. Tissue injury from sports can be classified as macro-traumatic and micro-traumatic. The changing profile of sports related injury, also as limited availability of facilities for rehabilitation in many areas of India, may be a matter of concern.
