Image enhancement techniques are used to display all or certain parts of an image which are further useful for a specific application. Some of the methods of image enhancement are: Histogram equalisation, un sharp mask filtering, Weiner filter, etc. Image enhancement reduces the parameters of pixels of certain values to obtain the image of desired characteristics.  The Journal Article is sometimes called a Scientific Article, a Peer-Reviewed Article, or a Scholarly Research Article. Together, the journal articles in a particular field are often referred to as The Literature. Journal articles are known as Primary Research Articles. However, they can also be called as Review Articles. These types of articles have different aims and requirements.
