Rectum Impact Factor

The rectum is the last straight segment of the internal organ in people and some different well evolved creatures, and the gut in others. The grown-up human rectum is around 12 centimeters in length, and starts at the rectosigmoid intersection, the finish of the sigmoid colon, at the degree of the third sacral vertebra or the sacral projection relying on what definition is used.[3] Its bore is like that of the sigmoid colon at its beginning, however it is enlarged close to its end, framing the rectal ampulla. It ends at the degree of the anorectal ring (the degree of the puborectalis sling) or the dentate line, again relying on which definition is used.In people, the rectum is trailed by the butt-centric channel which is around 4 centimeters in length, before the gastrointestinal tract ends at the butt-centric skirt. The word rectum originates from the Latin rectum intestinum, which means straight digestive system.
