Pulmonary Hypertension Top Open Access Journals
pulmonary hypertension is caused by severe impairment of myocardial performance that results in diminished cardiac output, end‐organ hypoperfusion, and hypoxia. Clinically this presents as hypotension refractory to volume resuscitation with features of end‐organ hypoperfusion requiring pharmacological or mechanical intervention. Acute myocardial infarction (MI) accounts for 81% of patient in Cardiogenic shock, The blockage of the arteries and Blood vessels the coronary arteries which provide oxygen and nutrient rich blood to heart. Cardiogenic shock It is also called coronary heart disease and is the leading cause of death in humans by hypoperfusion, . This occurs when the coronary arteries become blocked or clogged, often this leads to an irregular heartbeat - called an arrhythmia - that causes a severe decrease in the pumping function of the heart. A blockage that's not treated within a couple of hours causes the affected cardiac muscle to die.
