Petroleum Online Journals

A naturally happening liquid found beneath the Earth's surface, which consists of hydrocarbons of a variety of molecular weights and other liquid organic compounds is called Petroleum. Petroleum is considered as a fossil fuel as it is formed when huge quantities of dead organisms, usually zooplankton and algae, are buried underneath sedimentary rock and subjected to extreme heat and pressure. Petroleum recuperation is mostly done through oil drilling. Petroleum; the earth's finite reserves of oil has a negative impact on Earth's biosphere. It causes air pollution by releasing greenhouse gases and compensation the ecosystems through oil spills. In one form or the other, Petroleum is in use since ancient times. The increase in importance was due to its wide usage.
