Multiple Sclerosis Problems
Multiple sclerosis is a chronic disease affecting the central nervous system, mainly the brain, the spinal cord and the optic nerves. This can contribute to a large variety of symptoms across the body.It is not possible to predict how multiple sclerosis (MS) in any person would progress. Many may have mild symptoms, such as blurred vision and numbness and tingling of the limbs. In extreme cases, an person can suffer paralysis, loss of vision and problems with mobility. This is, however, uncommon. In the case of MS, the immune system is targeting the myelin sheath that covers the nerve fibers and protects them, causing inflammation. Myelin also allows the nerves to easily and effectively conduct electrical signal. Since MS affects the CNS which controls all of the body 's actions, symptoms can affect any part of the body.
