Multiple Sclerosis Case Reports
An immune-mediated inflammatory disease attacks myelinated axons in the CNS, destroying the myelin that results in physical disability within 20–30 years. This is considered as an autoimmune condition. An abnormal immune system results in attacking the layer that protects nerve called myelin sheath. The Whole body results in fatigue, dizziness, heat intolerance, poor balance and vertigo. Urinary retention occurs. Multiple sclerosis relates to the distinctive areas of scar tissue which are visible in the white matter of people who have MS. Plaques can be as small as a pinhead. Doctors can see these areas by examining the brain and spinal cord using a type of brain scan called magnetic resonance imaging.
