Monochorionic Pregnancy:

A monochromic pregnancy may be a multiple pregnancy, most ordinarily a twin pregnancy, during which babies are hooked in to one , shared placenta. Approximately 30% of dual pregnancies within the UK are monochorionic. Monochorionic placentation also can occur in higher-order multiples. Monochorionic placentation can also occur in higher-order multiples.With the increasing use of assisted reproductive technology and sociodemographic changes in our population, there has been a rise altogether types of multiple pregnancies. Monochorionic and dichorionic twin pregnancies share increased risks of preterm birth, fetal growth restriction, pre-eclampsia, maternal pregnancy symptoms and postpartum haemorrhage.
