Glucose Intolerance Journals

Glucose intolerance (GI) can be described as dysglycemia that includes prediabetes as well as diabetes. It covers impaired fasting glucose (IFG) and impaired glucose tolerance ( IGT) and diabetes mellitus (DM) conditions. This analysis focusses on IGT and IFG. People with these conditions are at elevated risk for diabetes and cardiovascular disease. Glucose sensitivity is a paragliding term for a group of metabolic disorders that result in levels of blood glucose greater than average. Both the World Health Organization (WHO) and the American Diabetes Association (ADA) have published diabetes mellitus (DM) classification schemes and diagnostic criteria as well as related types of glucose intolerance. Though similar, there are a number of variances in recommendations that may lead to differences in the classification of an individual.

Type 1 diabetes mellitus (DM) (due to autoimmune B-cell destruction, usually leading to absolute insulin deficiency)

Type 2 diabetes mellitus (due to a progressive loss of B-cell insulin secretion frequently on the background of insulin resistance
