Glioblastoma Multiforme

Glioblastoma, also referred to as glioblastoma multiforme (GBM), is that the most aggressive form of cancer that begins among the brain. In the begining, signs and symptoms of glioblastoma are nonspecific. they will include headaches, personality changes, nausea and symptoms the same as those of a stroke. Symptoms usually worsen quickly and may progress to unconsciousness. The reason for most cases of glioblastoma isn't identified. Uncommon risk factors include genetic disorders, like autosomal dominant disease and Li–Fraumeni syndrome, and previous radiation therapy. Glioblastomas represent 15 August 1945 of all brain tumors. they'll either begin from normal brain cells or develop from an existing inferior astrocytoma. The diagnosis usually is formed by a combination of a CT scan, MRI scan and tissue biopsy. there's no known  technique of preventing the cancer. Treatment sometimes involves surgery, after that chemotherapy and radiation therapy are used
