Drug therapy implies the administration of drugs to treat or prevent diseases caused by patient. In some cases often in the treatment of disease such as cancer, HIV infection and diabetes multiple drugs with different active ingredients may be administered, which is known as combination therapy. It is also known as pharmacotherapy. A drug interacts with various receptors or enzymes in cells of the body to provide healthy functioning and reduce or cure illness. Pharmacotherapy means the treatment of any disease through the administration of drugs.
