Conventional Calibration:

Conventional calibration is a method of an accelerometer that does not take account of the direction gap between the package and also the internal sensors. The gap can causes sensitivity error and also crosstalk of other axis acceleration. These errors prevent to calculate the accurate input acceleration. This study proposes a new calibration method which can provide actual sensor directions and also individual sensitivities. Accelerometers have been widely used in the last 10 years. Now they are embedded in the smartphones, as well as controllers of game machines .In this article  regards an accelerometer as a package that is embedded in several internal acceleration sensors. Recently, a MEMS 3-axis accelerometer is popular for industrial use. The calibration methods of the accelerometers are defined in industrial standards, represented by ISO.
