Climate-change-in-industries

The journal is concerned with the articles which have a significant social science component. Topics include, but are not limited to, the drivers, consequences and management of changes in: biodiversity and ecosystem services, coasts, climate, food systems, land use and land cover, urban areas, oceans, and water resources. Authors have an opportunity to converse their studies to people in other climate-related disciplines and to interested non-disciplinarians, as well as to report on research in which the originality is in the combinations of work from several disciplines. Climate Change is an open access journal that publishes high quality, theoretically and experimentally accurate articles, which advance knowledge about the human and policy dimensions of global environmental change. It is dedicated to the totality of the problem of climatic variability and change - its descriptions, causes, implications and interactions among these. The results illustrate the four general approaches available to renovate the energy system of a country or region: 1. reduce the demands for energy in all major sectors of the economy (buildings, transportation, and industry), thus reducing the demand for fossil fuels; 2. develop the effectiveness of energy utilization so that less fossil fuel is required to meet “end use” energy demands, ensuing in lower CO2 emission; 3. replace high-carbon fossil fuels such as coal and oil with lower-carbon or zero-carbon alternatives such as natural gas, nuclear, and renewable energy sources such as biomass, wind and solar; and, 4. capture and sequester the CO2 emitted by the combustion of fossil fuels to prevent its release to the atmosphere.
