Cerebral palsy (CP) may be a group of disorders that affect an individual's ability to maneuver and maintain balance and posture. CP is that the commonest motor disability in childhood. Cerebral means having to do with the brain. Palsy means weakness or problems with using the muscles.
Cerebral palsy may be a group of disorders that affect movement and muscular tonus or posture. It's caused by damage that happens to the immature brain because it develops, most frequently before birth. Signs and symptoms appear during infancy or preschool years.
Cerebral palsy is caused by a brain injury or problem that happens during pregnancy or birth or within the primary 2 to three years of a child's life. It are often caused by: Problems from being born too early (premature birth). Not getting enough oxygen, blood, or other nutrients during or before birth.
Medical experts recognize four main sorts of cerebral palsy; they are: Spastic, Athetoid, Ataxic and Mixed. Physicians consider the most sort of movement disorder related to the condition to diagnose sorts of spastic paralysis in their patients.
