Cardiac Arrest New Open Access Journals
Sudden cardiac arrest is the steep loss of heart function, respiration, and consciousness. The term normally results from an electrical disturbance in your heart that breaks its pumping action, stopping blood flow to your body. Unexpected cardiac arrest differs from a heart attack when blood flow to a part of the heart is blocked. However, a heart attack sometimes activates an electrical disturbance that leads to sudden cardiac arrest. If not treated instantly, sudden cardiac arrest can lead to death. With fast, befitting medical care, endurance is possible. Giving cardiopulmonary revival (CPR), using a defibrillator, or even just giving compress-ions to the chest can modify the chances of survival until emergency workers arrive.
