Aquatic-ph Impact Factor

In surface water the pH is interpreted as signal of climate change which is briefly outlined in this first-order analysis. The significant spatial-temporal variation of surface water can be attributed to the factors like seawater, interruption in the inlet from Bay of Bengal, sewage discharge and photosynthetic activity which exhibits variable biomass around the selected stations. The unexpected rise of surface water pH during 2009 in all the stations is a direct consequence of sea water. This means that pH of water is not a physical parameter that can be measured as a concentration or  as a quantity. It is a figure between 0 to 14 defining how acidic or basic. A pH of 7 is considered as a neutral
