Understanding and managing neurodegenerative diseases: From mechanisms to therapeutic strategies.
Neurodegenerative diseases refer to a group of progressive conditions that affect the function and structure of neurons in the brain and spinal cord. These diseases are caused by the death of nerve cells, which can lead to the impairment of motor and cognitive function.
