Uncovering the Mystery of Solitary Pulmonary Nodules: Understanding and Diagnosis.
Solitary pulmonary nodules (SPNs) are small growths in the lung that are commonly found on imaging studies. Although most SPNs are benign, some may be indicative of lung cancer. The proper diagnosis and management of SPNs is critical to minimize the risk of morbidity and mortality associated with lung cancer.
