Terrestrial Pollution
Terrestrial/land Pollution refers to the deterioration of the earth's land surfaces which is a major problem around the world needs to be fixed immediately caused by a variety of factors. It occurs mainly due to the indirect and direct effects of human activities such as soil pollution include deforestation and consequent erosion, industry, agriculture, landfills, mining and illegal dumping of waste as well as urbanization and construction. This is caused by the overuse of, soil erosion caused by running water and pest control measures and chemical fertilizers; this leads to loss of fertile land for agriculture, forest cover, fodder patches for grazing, etc. The potential effects of soil contamination on human health include breathing disorders, birth defects, skin diseases, and cancer.
