Hypoglycaemia

Hypoglycemia is also known as low blood sugar. It is a fall in  sugar  levels in blood. It also results in various  symptoms including clumsiness, trouble talking, confusion, loss of consciousness, seizures or death. A feeling of hunger, sweating, shakiness and weakness  also appears. Symptoms typically come on quickly. The most common cause of hypoglycemia is medications that we use to treat such as insulin. Risk is more in diabetics who  eats less food than sufficient and consumption of more alcohol. Other impotant causes of hypoglycemia includes kidney failure, certain tumors (such as insulinoma ), liver disease, hypothyroidism, starvation  and a number of drugs .
