Hereditary Genetics Traits Research Articles

In humans, eye color is an example of an hereditary characteristic: an individual may inherit the "brown-eye trait" from one amongst the parents. Inherited traits are controlled by genes and also the complete set of genes within an organism's genome is named its genotype.

The complete set of discernible traits of the structure and behavior of an organism is named its phenotype. These traits arise from the interaction of its genotype with the atmosphere. As a result, several aspects of associate organism's phenotype aren't inherited. as an example, browned skin comes from the interaction between somebody's genotype and sunlight; therefore, suntans aren't passed on to people's youngsters. However, some individuals tan more simply than others, because of differences in their genotype: a striking example is individuals with the hereditary attribute of albinism, who don't tan at all and are terribly sensitive to sunburn
