Glycemic control is a medical term which indicates to the typical levels of blood sugar (glucose) in a person with diabetes mellitus. Diabetes mellitus (DM) is the condition characterized by an elevated level of blood glucose. It consist of two types of Diabetes they are Type 1 and Type 2.Type 1diabetes is defined by deficiency of insulin due to progressive destruction of pancreatic beta cells and progressing to absolute insulin deficiency. Type 2 diabetes is the combination of insulin resistance and beta cell failure in association with obesity and sedentary life style. Microvascular complications about Diabetes mellitus(DM)  are reduced by tight glycemic control.
