Antibiotic Production Peer-review Journals
Production of antibiotics may be a present event, that because of advances in science can now be replicated and improved upon in laboratory settings. Because of the invention of penicillin by Fleming , and due to the efforts of Florey and Chain in the year 1938, large-scale, production of pharmaceutical antibiotics has been made possible. As with the initial discovery of penicillin, most antibiotics are discovered as a results of happenstance. Antibiotic production are often grouped into three methods: natural fermentation, semi-synthetic, and artificial . As more and more bacteria still develop resistance to currently produced antibiotics, research and development of latest antibiotics continues to be important. In addition to research, development and technology into the assembly of latest antibiotics, repackaging delivery systems is important and essential to improve efficacy of the antibiotics that are currently produced. Improvements in the field of production of antibiotics have seen the power to feature antibiotics directly into implanted devices, aerosolization of antibiotics for direct delivery, and combination of antibiotics with non antibiotics to improve outcomes.
