14. Asthma Genetics Syndrome Scholarly Journal

Asthma and allergic disorders are caused by a mixture of genetic and environmental factors as complex conditions. About 100 genes have been linked to asthma and related conditions. Allergic asthma has been named as "a disease" due to a dynamic interplay between the genetic and environmental influences. Genetic variations can affect both asthma sensitivity and responsiveness to asthma medications. This major genetic variability has occurred between racial and ethnic groups and within them. But the issue is perplexed by significant economic, cultural and environmental disparities that coexist. As a loci of asthma susceptibility, or as loci, it contributes to severity of disease or treatment response.
