Abstract:
The Aim of this abstract is to equip the doctors with the correct information to help the parent make an informed decision to vaccinate their children. The presentation is aimed to explain to doctors the possible side effects of vaccine. To correct the common misunderstanding of the parents that vaccines are introduced just for the profit of the pharmaceutical companies and have no medical purpose. By giving a highlight of the diseases covered by the vaccines, doctors and parent gain perspective on the need for vaccine. By giving the parents the correct information and knowing the side effects of the vaccine, the doctors can explain better the logic of vaccinating children despite the possible harm that can arise from it.
Biography:
Badi Alatasi is a Pediatric consultant. He did his medical school in Damascus, Syria. Then he finished his residency in Michigan USA, then the fellowship in Neonatology in New Jersey, USA. Since 2001 he has been practicing in UAE. He was head of neonatology and Pediatric in Alnoor hospital in Abu Dhabi, then in Welcare hospital , then International Modern hospital where he also served as medical director. He finished his Master in Business Administration in 2011 from the University of Phoenix, USA. He ran a multiple site group practice in Dubai for 7 years and now works as a consultant pediatrician at Valiant clinic Dubai. He has a special interest in preventive medicine and child psychology.
