He earned BA in Sociology and Social Anthropology, MA in Sociology both from Addis Ababa University (Ethiopia) and PhD in Social Sciences from Radboud University Nijmegen (The Netherlands). He has been teaching Sociology at Ambo University (Ethiopia) for 7 years.
