Biography:

Helmi Z. M. Shafri graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying from RMIT University, Australia in 1998. He completed his Ph.D in Remote Sensing from The University of Nottingham, UK in 2003. Now he is the Head of Department of Civil Engineering and the Coordinator of Remote Sensing and GIS Programme at the Faculty of Engineering, Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He is currently involved in research related to algorithm development and new applications of high spectral and high spatial resolution remote sensing data in urban environment.
