Abstract

Introduction: The current Covid 19 pandemic has implications on healthcare worldwide. We need to ensure continuity of care while minimizing the risk of horizontal transmission. The presentation aims to review the available literature to safely take care of our urogynaecology patients during this difficult time. Methods: Data reviewed from Pubmed, Cochrane, International guidelines and consensus reviews Results: Majority of the guidelines stress on the use of online consultations wherever possible. Procedures like surgeries for benign conditions can be deferred. Essential surgeries like fistula repairs should be performed taking diligent precautions to minimize horizontal transmission. Conclusion: Online consultations, behavioural and medical therapies are to be preferred wherever possible. If inevitable, consultations and surgeries are to be performed ensuring full safety precautions
