The silent threat: Understanding parasitic diseases.
Parasitic diseases are caused by organisms that live on or within a host organism and obtain their nutrients at the expense of the host. These diseases can affect both humans and animals and can be transmitted through various modes such as ingestion of contaminated food or water, insect bites or contact with infected individuals. The diagnosis and therapy of parasitic diseases require a comprehensive understanding of the disease pathogenesis, clinical symptoms and treatment options.Author(s): Alexandru Tudor*
