Studies on glyphosate-induced changes in expression of il-1 and tnf-alpha in the skeletal muscles of rat

Glyphosate is a systemic, broad spectrum, post-emergence herbicide used for non-selective weed control. Glyphosate is a nonvolatile white solid with a melting point of about 200°C and negligible vapour pressure. It is commercially marketed as roundup. Because of its poor absorption, it is not administered orally for the mammals. It is highly soluble to water, so it does not accumulate in the living cells. Glyphosate is selected for the study because of its widespread production and potential exposure to humans. The main aim of this research is to study the changes in the expression of IL-1 and TNF-alpha in the skeletal muscles of glyphosate induced rats.
