Parasitic diseases: Emerging challenges in urban environments and implications for public health interventions.
Parasitic diseases have long been associated with rural areas and impoverished regions. However, with increasing urbanization and globalization, these diseases are now posing emerging challenges in urban environments. This research paper aims to explore the current scenario of parasitic diseases in urban settings, identify the factors contributing to their emergence, and discuss the implications for public health interventions. By examining the specific challenges posed by urbanization, such as overcrowding, inadequate sanitation, and increased mobility, we can better understand the complex dynamics of parasitic diseases in urban areas and develop effective strategies to mitigate their impact on public health.Author(s): Lyu Hao*, Irza Haicha Pratama, Yolanda Eliza Putri Lubis
