Advances in Inhibiting Valley Fever Fungal Infection

Valley fever, also known as coccidioidomycosis, is a fungal infection that primarily affects individuals living in the southwestern United States and parts of Central and South America. The disease is caused by the fungus Coccidioides and can cause flu-like symptoms, severe respiratory illness, and even death in some cases. This article provides an overview of the epidemiology, clinical features, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of valley fever.
