Biography:

Dr. Maria Elizabeth Marquez Contreras is currently working as a Co-researcher on projects and inter multidisciplinary research in the Laboratory of Parasitic Enzymology, Department of Biology, University of the Andes, Merida-Edo. Merida. She has completed her Master of Fundamental Medical Sciences, in the year 2004. Dr. Maria has published several papers in reputed journals and has participated in several international conferences. Her research interests include Chagas, PCR, Serodiagnosis, ELISA, Chemotherapy, Dogs, Prevention, Epidemiology, MABA, Western blot, Leishmaniasis, Recombinant Antigens, Protein Purification, Diagnostic Kits.
