Biography:

Dr Chandrashekhar Badole has a distinction of having done two-postgraduations from MGIMS. An MGIMS alumnus - he belongs to the class of 1979- he was fascinated with public health, to begin with, and enrolled himself in the MD ( Community Medicine) offered at MGIMS. He was fortunate to have worked on determinants of birth weight in rural semi urban communities for his MD thesis- a work guided by Dr Sushila Nayar. He obtained MD in Community Medicine in 1988. And then Orthopaedics lured him, taking him away from Public Health.
