10. Image Enhancement Techniques Research
An Image enhancement technique is widely used in the computer graphics. It is the sub area of the Image Processing in which the main objective of the image enhancement techniques is that to process an image so that the result is more suitable for image than the original path for the specific application. The image Enhancement Techniques has been broadly classified into two main categories: 1.Spatial domain methods 2.Frequency domain methods. Spatial Domain Method: The spatial domain method is that which refers to the aggregate of the pixels in composing an image. Spatial domain methods are directly applicable on these pixels. It is denoted by the expression of g(x,y)=T[f(x,)]. Some of the other enhancement techniques are point processing, Median and Max/Min separation, Image subtraction, Histogram Equalization. Frequency domain methods are Image smoothing, Neighborhood averaging, Edge preserving smoothing and image sharpening are the different types of Image enhancement techniques we use in the Research.
