37. Image Compression Research Papers
The purpose of image compression is to compress the size of an image file by removing the repetitive data sequences and therefore enable effective storage and management of data. Two different compression techniques are used for image compression: loss and lossless compression. Run-length encoding, area image compression, predictive coding and entropy coding are a few examples of the methods of lossless compression. Systematic reviews determines the objective list of criteria, and find all previously published original research papers to meet the criteria. Then they can compare the results presented in these papers. Literature provide a summary of what the authors believe is the best and most relevant prior publications
