Acute Myeloid Leukemia Review Articles
Allogeneic Hematopoietic Cell Transplantation (allo-HCT) has improved outcome of patients with high risk Acute chronic myelocytic leukemia (AML), but it harbors a risk of morbidity and mortality thanks to damage to normal cells and tissues by the high intensity conditioning or thanks to Graft Versus Host Disease (GVHD). As a serious component of the curative potential of allo-HCT springs from the response of the donor immunity against the malignant cells through the so called Graft Versus Leukemia effect (GVL), novel adoptive immunotherapy strategies are developed to get immune reaction against the leukemic cells, while sparing GVHD. Leukemia may be a group of cancer cells that sometimes begin within the bone marrow and end in high numbers of abnormal white blood cells. These white blood cells aren't fully developed and are called blasts or leukemia cells. Bleeding and bruising problems are especially related to leukemia. These symptoms occur thanks to a scarcity of normal blood cells.
