Abstract

Journal of Primary care and General Practice is the most preferred and highly accessed Journal in the field of Public Health care and safety. It is a peer-reviewed scientific publication that offers an open access forum to discuss the recent developments and innovative trends in the primary health care and general medical practice.

It is a peer-reviewed scientific publication that offers an open access forum to discuss the recent developments and innovative trends in the primary health care and general medical practice.

During the year 2020, the highlights regarding the Journal of Primary care and General Practice the issues of volume 3 were published online well within the time and the print issues were also brought out and dispatched within 30 days of publishing the issue online. This journal is having a high-quality perfection in publishing the articles within the time.

Mainly in the year 2019 a research article entitled “Analysis of hospital surgical treatment of lung cancer’’ was submitted by Dr. Riddhi Vyas and Dr. Shankar Srinivasan from department of Health Informatics, Rutgers University, United States.

An Opinion article entitled “Good governance in drug and alcohol services” was submitted by Dr. Jeff Fernandez from Camden and Islington NHS Foundation Trust, Greater London, United Kingdom.

The main aim and objectives of the journal is to focus on health care system beyond the simple medical treatment by involving family and community. To this extent the journal encompasses a wide spectrum of topics in fields including Family Practice, Palliative care, Community-health, Prenatal Care, Perioperative nursing, Medical sociology, Healthcare delivery, Multimorbidity, Comorbidity, Polypharmacy, Quality of life, Sexual Health, Pain Management, Mental health, Primary care medicine, Medical education, Primary care epidemiology, Clinical management, Geriatric care, and Chronic Illness.

Journal of Primary care and General Practice functions on principles of scientific excellence, publication ethics and transparency. It makes mediatory that every article is submitted only through the online manuscript submission

The journal constitutes its Editorial-Board comprising scholars from all over the world to explore the Primary Care and General Practice research to strengthen this field of study. The members of the editorial board also prefer to submit their articles. Such practice is common in other reputed specialty Journals. In fact, AAPCGP encourages editorial board members to actively contribute. However, no special privileges are given to anyone. All scientific manuscripts including editorials are subjected to peer review. AAPCGP follows a double-blind peer review process where identity of authors and reviewers is not revealed to each other. The review generally involves two to six subject experts. The editorial team consisting of associate editors and assistant editors are involved in the entire article cycle starting from submission to final recommendation. The entire review process is carefully structured to minimize possibility of bias.

According to the statistical investigation based on the source named Google Analytics, around 4,600 readers are visiting journal websites for submitting manuscripts, to browse the latest research published on Primary health care and to refer the published content for conceptualizing their research study, deriving research hypotheses, case reports and validating their contributions. Readers from the major countries including United States, Canada, United Kingdom, India, Japan, Egypt and Nigeria visit our journal domain to learn about the ongoing research activities in this field.
