Introduction

Pulmonary embolism (PE) is a critical medical condition characterized by the sudden blockage of one or more arteries in the lungs, usually caused by blood clots that travel from other parts of the body. This often involves continued anticoagulant therapy, lifestyle modifications (such as staying active, avoiding prolonged periods of sitting or standing, and maintaining a healthy weight), and in some cases, using compression stockings to prevent blood pooling in the legs [6].
