The importance of glucose: Understanding its role in the human body.
Glucose is a type of sugar that plays a crucial role in the human body. It is the primary source of energy for the body's cells and is necessary for the proper functioning of the organs and tissues. In this article, we will explore how glucose is used in the body and the various processes that regulate its levels. Glucose is obtained from the food we eat and is absorbed into the bloodstream from the small intestine. Once in the bloodstream, it is transported to the cells, where it is used as a source of energy through a process called cellular respiration. This process converts glucose into energy in the form of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), which is used by the cells to perform their various functions.Author(s): Zin Yan*
